Hi there! I'm Marie-Adele Drache, a queer author (aromantic asexual) writing the kind of books I want to read. I specialize in urban and high fantasy with a smattering of sci-fi, focusing on worldbuilding and character-driven plot. As such, I write characters that are interesting to read about, even if you wouldn't want to be in the same room as them for more than five minutes because they're chaotic, annoying, or morally gray. My plots end well because we have enough upset and grimness in the world that I feel no need to add more.

• Shards of Crystal (ShOC book 1): An alternate timeline where superheroes are real, wizards walk the earth, and Shard Realms orbit our own after being broken off during the Shattering. A class of student heroes are determined to lead the charge against the Society and Endakalis is targeting Kanti Ineas, the eleven-year-old credited with stopping his master.
